Getting Started with Embroidery!

Join Angela Wolf and Cindy Hogan for a 90 minute virtual class and learn the basics of embroidery including:

Choosing the needles, thread, and stabilizer to compliment your fabric and projects.  

Learn about various stabilizers and when to use each one. 

Cindy and Angela will share hooping techniques, along with tips and tricks for success.

Note: This class can be used with any embroidery machine with a size 4" X 4" hoop or larger.  

This mini-course was recorded live with Angela Wolf and Cindy Hogan. The video includes 90 minutes of teaching and tutorials with an additional 30 minutes of Q&A.

Angela Wolf fashion designer and entrepreneur, is the anchor of the PBS series It’s Sew Easy and host of a live facebook show's Behind the Scenes and At Your Side Virtually. Author of How to Start a Home-based Fashion Design Business, founder of Angela Wolf Patterns, and Producer of Fabric to Fashion Reality Show. Angela teaches online sewing classes on Patternreview, Craftsy, and Angela Wolf Academy. Angela started sewing at a young age and continued to design women’s apparel all thru college. With an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for fashion and sewing, she launched and ran a successful custom apparel and alteration business for over 18 years. She has since launched a pattern collection Angela Wolf Pattern Collection for the home sewer. Angela is the winner of 2008 Passion for Fashion, 2012 American Sewing Expo’s teacher of year, and spends her time speaking and teaching all over the country. When she is not sewing, you will find her fishing on Lake Michigan or in the Florida Keys with her husband Winn, on the Win-n-Angel!

Cindy Hogan

Instructor

Cindy Hogan resides in Tennessee with her husband. She has a BS and MS from the University of TN in Special Education and was a full time Special Education teacher until 2003 when she decided to change career paths and use her knowledge of PE-DESIGN® and Education to be a freelance Product Training Specialist for the for all Brother Software Programs. A few years ago, she transitioned from that role to a more active role as a Brand Ambassador for Brother. Cindy is an internationally recognized Brother Software expert and author of multiple software training workbooks for Brother software. She is also nationally recognized as an expert on the Brother ScanNCut and machine embroidery and is the author of the NEW ScanNCut Playbook. She teaches classes on the Craftsy/Bluprint Platform and has been a guest instructor on the Hit TV Show “It’s Sew Easy” and at the Fashion Institute of Technology. As a Brand Ambassador for Brother she loves sharing her knowledge of embroidery with others and helping others to take their craft to the next level.
